At Halenda’s Meats, we know the best ideas come from our community! So we’re inviting YOU to help create our next limited-time sausage!

Submit your original sausage recipe for a chance to see it come to life in our stores. Whether it’s smoky, sweet, spicy, or a little wild, we want to hear it! We’ll select the top 5 entries and let the public vote for the winning creation.

You Could Win:

The winner will receive a $50 Halenda’s gift card, 6 of their custom sausage to share with friends and family, a feature on our social media and website, and their sausage sold in stores for a limited time with their name on the packaging or signage. They’ll also receive a fun “Sausage Creator” certificate and a Halenda’s branded apron to celebrate their win!

How It Works – Contest Timeline

Week 1–2: Submit Your Sausage Idea
Share your original sausage recipe by June 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm. Tell us your ingredients and give it a fun name.

Week 3: Finalists Announced
Our team will select the Top 5 most creative, delicious, and on-brand entries. These finalists will move on to public voting.

Week 4–5: Community Voting
The Top 5 recipes will be posted on our website and social media, where our community will vote for the winner. Rally your friends and family to vote!

Week 6: Winner Announced
The sausage with the most votes will be crowned the winner! We’ll feature the winning sausage in our stores for a limited time and celebrate the winner with a prize pack and major bragging rights.

Week 7+: Sausage Launch
The winning sausage will be made fresh by our butchers and available in stores for everyone to try. Come taste the creation!

Halenda’s “Create Your Own Sausage” Contest – Terms & Conditions

By submitting an entry to the “Create Your Own Sausage” contest, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

Open to residents of Canada only.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Employees of Halenda’s Meats and their immediate families are not eligible to win, but can participate.

2. Entry Requirements

Only original recipes may be submitted.
Limit one entry per person.
Entries must be received by June 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
Offensive, inappropriate, or plagiarized content will be disqualified.

3. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

By submitting a recipe, you grant Halenda’s Meats a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display your submission, name, and likeness for promotional, advertising, or commercial purposes in any media format.
Halenda’s may adjust the submitted recipe for production and quality control.

4. Winner Selection

A panel of Halenda’s representatives will choose the Top 5 finalist recipes based on creativity, feasibility, and brand fit.
The final winner will be determined by a public voting process hosted online.
All decisions are final and binding.

5. Prizes

The winning entrant will receive:

A $50 Halenda’s Gift Card
6 of their custom sausage to share with friends and family
Recognition on Halenda’s social media, website, and in-store signage
A branded Halenda’s apron.
An official “Sausage Creator” certificate
Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value.

6. Limitation of Liability

By entering, you release and hold harmless Halenda’s Meats, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any liability or claim arising out of participation in the contest or acceptance and use of any prize.

7. Privacy

Your email address and personal information will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and contacting winners. We will not share or sell your information.
