Halenda’s Meats Wins First Place at the Royal Winter Fair for Mild Pepperoni Sticks and Sremska Sausage
Halenda’s Meats proudly took home two first-place awards at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, solidifying our reputation as a leader in ready-to-eat meat snacks. Competing among the top producers in Canada, Halenda’s earned the highest honours for its Mild Pepperoni Sticks in the Sausage – Dry/Semi-Dry (Small) Maximum Diameter of 20mm category and its Sremska Sausage in the Sausage – Dry/Semi-Dry (Large) Minimum Diameter of 21mm category.
Our Mild Pepperoni Sticks are a favourite snack, known for their ideal balance of spice and savoury flavour in a convenient, snack-sized form. With high-quality ingredients and a signature seasoning blend, these pepperoni sticks deliver satisfaction in every bite.
Equally celebrated was our Sremska Sausage, a larger-diameter dry sausage that won first place in its category. With its bold, smoky flavour and robust texture, the Sremska Sausage is crafted from a recipe that combines premium meats with meticulous seasoning. A true taste of tradition, this sausage is a favourite for gatherings, charcuterie boards and is even great on pizzas!
Other Top Performers at the Royal Winter Fair
Our Mild Pepperoni Sticks may have taken the top spot, but our other products, including Buggy Whip Mild, Buggy Whip Hot, and Hot Pepperoni Sticks, earned close second, third and fourth places in the Sausage – Dry/Semi-Dry (Small) category. These high-ranking favourites showcase the quality and variety that Halenda’s Meats brings to the table.
In the Sausage – Dry/Semi-Dry (Large) category, our Hunter Garlic Sausage and Ulrich Family Meats Csabi delivered standout performances alongside our first-place Sremska Sausage. These impressive results showcase Halenda’s dedication to flavour and quality across our entire range of dry sausages.
In the Smoked Sausage – Traditional category, our 275g Kobassa and Old Country Kobassa with Cracked Black Pepper made a strong showing, competing closely with top entries. These high-quality, traditional smoked sausages demonstrate Halenda’s commitment to authentic flavours and exceptional craftsmanship.
