KobassaWhy Kobassa?

It all starts with Halenda’s Kobassa. This premium smoked meat is made with care and packed with savoury flavour. When it is sliced and seared, it adds a rich and smoky taste to the dish that pairs perfectly with the creamy tomato sauce and pasta.

This skillet meal is finished with spinach and parmesan cheese, giving it a fresh and cheesy touch that pulls it all together.

What You’ll Need

  • 2 cups sliced Halenda’s Kobassa

  • 1 red onion, diced

  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 cup tomato purée

  • 250 grams dry pasta

  • 1 tablespoon oregano

  • 2 cups chicken stock (plus more if needed)

  • ½ cup milk

  • 2 handfuls baby spinach

  • ½ cup shredded parmesan

  • Olive oil

How to Make It

  1. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet with a lid. Sear the kobassa slices until golden and crispy. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the same pan. Sauté until soft and fragrant.

  3. Season with salt and pepper, then pour in the milk and stir gently.

  4. Add the dry pasta, tomato purée, and oregano. Mix everything together.

  5. Pour in the chicken stock and return the kobassa to the pan. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until the pasta is tender. Add more stock if needed.

  6. Stir in the spinach and cover for another minute or two until the spinach is wilted.

  7. Top with shredded parmesan and let it melt into the dish.
