Pizza Wrapped Easter Mini Peppers
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oi
- 2 lbs ground pork
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves diced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper
- 3-4 tbsp tomato sauce
- 475 g tub ricotta cheese
- 2 lbs of mini peppers cut in half, seeds removed
- 2 cans of store bought pizza crust
- Egg wash
Instructions
- Start by browning the meat in a pot over medium heat. Once it’s browned, add chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce. Let everything cook together until the meat is fully cooked, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- While the meat cools, unroll the pizza crust and cut it into strips. Stir ricotta cheese into the cooled meat mixture until well combined. Fill a piping bag with the mixture and pipe it into halved peppers. Wrap each stuffed pepper with the pizza crust strips and brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
