Ian has been a butcher at Halenda’s Meats – King for 6 years. He decided to become a butcher because he thought it was an interesting trade. He likes working with his hands, enjoys food, and enjoys looking after people. His favourite animal to cut is either beef or pork. – Because why choose just one?
He started serving at the Bowmanville location and quickly decided that he had a passion for meat cutting. His favourite protein to trim is beef. He loves cutting striploin because it takes precision and finesse to make a tray look great and appetizing.
After serving customers at Halenda’s Bowmanville location for many years she thought the idea of becoming a female butcher sounded pretty amazing! Her favourite protein to trim is pork. She loves to debone a full loin because it takes delicate movements and great skill to make sure it’s done properly.
Simon Youchia is one of our butcher’s at Halenda’s Mississauga. He began with us in October of 2019 but he has been a butcher for more than 35 years. Simon grew up in Syria where his parents owned their own butcher shop. He started working at the shop very young and he and his passion for butchering grew from there.
Steve started serving at the Whitby location. He decided to become a butcher because he just absolutely loves the industry and the food!!. His favourite animal to cut is beef. He loves to cut ribeye because it takes precision and finesse to make a tray look great and appetizing!
