Located in the GTA, Halenda’s began as Michael Halenda and his wife Doreen selling small batch smoked meat out of the Oshawa Flea Market in 1979. Today, his son, Richard Halenda sells award-winning smoked meat across Ontario. Selling our award-winning Ham Kobassa in local butcher shops in our 7 locations.

Since the awards’ inception in 1995, MPO has presented only 13 prestigious Lifetime Member Awards to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the industry. This year they inducted Richard Halenda, of Halenda’s Fine Foods, into that respected club.

Since 1922, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has been Canada’s premier showcase for excellence in livestock, crops, and food. The 2021 Royal features nine food competition categories, one being ready-to-eat meats. This year in the ready-to-eat meats category Halenda’s Meats have won a total of 9 awards! This includes 2 1st place awards!
